Good afternoon,

I hope everyone enjoyed the night! Everyone looked fabulous in their costumes. Good job to Kappa for creating the best ‘mummy’ – ME!!! Thank you to everyone for bringing in the Pioneer Village forms and money!

On a side note, after sending out the email about missing items, I received more from parents about missing items. I decided to do a thorough look around our cubbies and in the lost and found. I was able to find some of the missing items. They have been returned to their rightful owners. Again it may be wise to keep valuable items at home!

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION:

PD DAY – Friday, November 6

NO SCHOOL – Wednesday, November 11 for Remembrance Day.

Today was spent doing a variety of Halloween activities. We began with a house game of searching through brains to find eyeballs, creating pumpkins, and wrapping teachers up as ‘mummies!’ Once back in class we had our spelling test, finished our mystery stories, and worked on Halloween booklets.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! Happy Halloween!!

Good afternoon,

I hope everyone enjoyed the night! I unfortunately have to put them in a certain order when we walk down halls. For some reason we can't seem to walk single-file and quietly down the hall. There always seems to be people budding. Hopefully we will not have to stay like this for too long!

Math
Today we began working on measuring angles. This is a very tough concept for some so extra help at home would be greatly appreciated. They will need to use a protractor, which can be bought at most dollar stores. I understand that this is short notice so if they need a protractor that can come to school and finish it tomorrow morning before classes begin! I have included a picture of how to measure angles to assist them and they also have one on their math notebooks.

Language
Today was our reading buddies day. We also peer edited our rough copy mystery stories. They did a wonderful job peer editing the partners writing. It was so nice to see them working so well together and taking each others advice!
